TKE to Participate In DOE’s Low Carbon Pilot

TK Elevator (TKE), through its Middleton, Tennessee, facility, will participate in the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Low Carbon Pilot, a project in which the OEM further commits to achieving net-zero carbon by 2050, the company announced June 3. In working with DOE, TKE is participating through the Better Buildings Initiative. The goal of the pilot is to understand and demonstrate how to achieve real-world CO2 emission reductions in buildings and plants. As a pilot participant, TKE will share experiences, successes and challenges achieved through low-carbon strategies within a two-year timeframe. The program will help TKE reach carbon targets set last year that aim to reduce scope 1 and 2 emissions by 25% by 2030 and 50% by 2040. For more information, visit tkelevator.com/us-en/.
