Brooklyn Has New Tallest Structure

A milestone was reached in June when 9 DeKalb Avenue (ELENET 848, 784, 767, 698, 638) surpassed the 720-ft-tall Brooklyn Point to become the tallest structure in Brooklyn, New York YIMBY reported on June 28. The 73-story residential tower, designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS, will stand 1,066-ft tall to become the first supertall skyscraper in NYC’s outer boroughs. As planned, the tower will offer 425 rental apartments and 150 condominiums. The source said it still anticipates that the topping off of the structure could occur toward the end of this year, as just under 350 ft remain to be completed.
