The two pedestrian overpasses and elevator provided “a gate and a connection between two urban realities that are no longer separated by a topography that caused marginalization and now union,” ArchDaily reported; photo © Imagina2 visualization studio.

This unique setup was reported by ArchDaily. It was intended “to resolve the precarious pedestrian ramp access and stairs which overcome [a] 30 m height difference between levels.” The project emerged from a study on pedestrian mobility in the Echavacoiz Norte neighborhood in Pamplona, Spain. Two pedestrian overpasses and an attractive elevator were implemented, linking the upper pathway with the river park and planned “AVE” neighborhood.
