31-Story Residential Tower Proposed in Tokyo

A 31-story residential building, at a total planned height of 110 m, has been proposed in front of the JR Koiwa station in Tokyo, according to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. The JR Koiwa Station North Exit District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project from Mitsui Fudosan Residential and Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate will create a 6,100-m2 plaza on a 2-ha site and would connect to the station with a pedestrian deck. The apartment building would total 94,709 m2 and provide 730 residences as well as commercial uses and a nursery school. Construction is expected to start in March 2022, with completion anticipated by January 2027.
