Development Application Lodged for Australia Tower Hub

Wee Hur Holdings has lodged a development application for a four-tower transit-orientated hub in Brisbane, Australia’s inner south, Australian Property Journal reports. Designed by architects Woods Bagot, the precinct, called Park Central, will include an apartment building, an office tower, student accommodations and an aged-care facility. The 759-bed purpose-built student accommodation tower will complement its existing 1,578-bed student accommodation facility that opened in 2019. Park Central will also include a 28-story residential tower with 290 apartments, serviced with multiple recreational and rooftop decks, two swimming pools, indoor and outdoor gyms and co-share office amenities. There will also be a seven-level, 5,000-m2 office tower and another seven-level building with an aged-care facility, complemented by 3,500 m2 of retail. Wee Hur purchased the Buranda Transit-Oriented Development in 2014, the first stage of which opened in 2019. The company plans to commence construction in 2022, with completion expected in 2025.
