Islamabad, Pakistan, Hospital Getting Two Bed Elevators

Polyclinic Hospital Islamabad will soon have two bed elevators worth millions of rupees, The Express Tribune reports. According to a hospital spokesperson, the elevators were imported to Karachi, Pakistan, from Spain and will soon be transported to the federal capital to be installed at the hospital. One elevator is set to be installed in the cardiac care unit and the other in the labor room to help move heart patients and pregnant women from the operation theater and labor room to various hospital wards, and vice versa. The previous, faulty elevators were causing problems in ferrying patients, the source reports. The elevators were procured by the Public Works Department.
