Turkey Capital Has New Pedestrian Overpasses With VT

Officials with the Ankara, Turkey, Metropolitan Municipality are prioritizing safety for pedestrians by building pedestrian overpasses with escalators and elevators, especially in areas with heavy vehicle traffic, RaillyNews reports. The Department of Urban Aesthetics has completed construction of nine new, modern overpasses with vertical transportation (VT), and the officials continue to build overpasses for pedestrian safety. It implemented the projects to relieve urban traffic while increasing the number of pedestrians. The Department of Urban Aesthetics, which started the work in January 2021, is bringing landscaping to the overpasses, as well. Seven of the city’s new overpasses are complete.
