Developers of an apartment and office tower in Sacramento, California, are promoting an even larger building than originally mentioned, The Sacramento Bee reports. The proposed building, set for the empty site Lot X in downtown Sacramento, will be the biggest such skyscraper in the California capital. New details released in mid-March call for a 32-story high-rise residential/office project announced by Southern Land Co., a Nashville, Tennessee-based development firm. The redesigned project includes a 368-ft-tall main building with 243 residential units, a five-story office tower and a seven-story parking structure. The developer has said it has designed the tower to complement nearby Crocker Park and the Crocker Art Museum. Officials say the project will include multiple upper-level balconies, rooftop gardens and amenity spaces that will reinforce connections to a park. The apartments will range in size from 590-ft2 studios up to 3,013-ft2 three-bedroom apartments, and the design also calls for five townhomes. The developer said last year that it planned to begin construction in 2023 and complete the project in 2025.
