Peelle Awarded CTPAT Certification

The Peelle Co., headquartered in Brampton, Canada, recently announced it has been awarded Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) certification. Part of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) cargo-enforcement strategy, the voluntary, public-private CTPAT partnership program involves CBP working with the trade community to strengthen international supply chains and improve U.S. border security. The program recognizes that CBP can provide the highest level of cargo security through cooperation with international supply chain stakeholders such as importers, carriers, licensed customs brokers and manufacturers. CTPAT-certified companies enjoy benefits that include playing an active role in the U.S. government’s war against terrorism, having shorter wait times at the border and enjoying business-resumption priority following a natural disaster or terrorist attack. For freight elevator door manufacturer Peelle, the certification means that, “not only is [the company] making a firm commitment to enhance the security of goods moving through our international supply chain, but [it] can now bid on exciting opportunities and build lasting partnerships.”
