Developers working on Shibuya 2 Chome Project are planning a new, large, multi-service project just east of Shibuya Station in Tokyo, Japan Property Central reports. Nicknamed the Shibuya Regeneration Project, the three-block construction site will cover a total lot size of 2.9 ha, the developers have said. The centerpiece will be a 208-m, 41-story-tall office/hotel/retail tower on Block B, a site that currently includes several older buildings. Across the street, the 1988 Daiwa Shibuya Miyamasuzaka Building will be demolished and replaced with a 175-m, 41-story-tall apartment building. A third building will be a 50-m-tall, five-story retail structure with total floor area of 1,700 m2. The Shibuya project joins several large redevelopments in the area, including buildings completed in 2012 and 2020 and one set to be finished in 2024. The Shibuya Regeneration Project is scheduled to begin in 2025, and complete around 2029.
