Tower With Design Style Proposed for Brisbane, Australia

The designer Rothelowman, working with developer Aris, has come up with a 20-story tower in the Kangaroo Point area of Brisbane, Australia, ArchitectureAU reports. The designer promotes the project at 58-62 Leopard Street as a multi-residential building that could be a catalyst for future development in the area. The proposed building features rooftop distinctive painted art. The crown will be built with a slight overhang so that, at night, the detailed underside will be illuminated for the public to see from the street below. The rooftop area will include outdoor dining areas and barbecue facilities, plus a pool, spa and terrace lounge area. The staggered balconies of the 98 apartments, jutting out at alternating depths, will add a geometric pattern to the faҫade. Ground level will include a public subtropical pavilion open to the street. According to the application, 25% of the ground will be given over to the public realm, including seating, landscaping, water features and public art. The lobby will be designed at triple height to free up the ground level for public open space, providing space for communal recreation and refuge areas. No construction timeline was mentioned.
