Lakeman Liften, a more-than-100-year-old company headquartered in Katwijk, the Netherlands, recently showcased a round hydraulic passenger lift serving the new 30-m-tall FENIX Museum of Migration in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Distinguished by a “tornado” staircase rising through a former warehouse, FENIX opened in May as the “first museum dedicated to exploring migration through art.” Lakeman Liften said its LML-ROUND Series elevator, suitable for wheelchair users and developed for architects pursuing a round design, plays an important role in supporting the museum experience. “After a careful period of fine-tuning and engineering, in which every detail was perfected, the elevator offers visitors a calm transition between floors without interrupting the rhythm” and culminating in a “breathtaking view from the building’s terrace,” Lakeman Liften stated.
