Elevator Shaft Fall Fatal for Man in the Florida Panhandle

A fall down an elevator shaft at an under-construction home on Highway 30a in Walton County on the Florida Panhandle was fatal for a man on July 20, WEAR-TV reports. Deputies responded to the jobsite following a 911 call and initiated life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No foul play is suspected.
