The Elevator and Escalator Division of Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc., announced on August 17 a new, expanded call center in Cypress, California, to support continued growth throughout the U.S. The Cypress-headquartered company said the new call center will serve as the central location for customer support nationwide. It adds to four additional call centers Mitsubishi Electric US opened in the past three years: San Francisco, its second Northern California location; Nashville, Tennessee; Boston; and Miami. A combination of construction volume growth and aging elevator and escalator inventory are driving business for the company. “We were outgrowing our old offices, and the new space will allow us to serve our customers better, as well as accommodate future growth,” Mitsubishi Electric US Service and Labor Relations Department Senior Director John Faure said.
