Columbia Elevator’s Blaiotta Named Top 50 Business Leader

Blaiotta

LJ Blaiotta, CEO of Bridgeport, Connecticut-headquartered Columbia Elevator Products, was recently named to The U.S. Business Report‘s Top 50 Business Leaders of Connecticut for 2022. He joins awardees including HEI Hotels & Resorts Principal and Chief Commercial Officer Karl Murphy, Ashcroft Inc. CEO Steven Culmone and Rose Mill Co. President Jay Stolfi. “This year’s awardees span across all industries, but remain equally dedicated to the individuals and markets they serve,” The U.S. Business Report observed. No stranger to ELEVATOR WORLD, Blaiotta leads a company that has been family owned and operated since 1965, providing elevator cabs, entrances and door systems for commercial and residential markets in North America. Columbia manufactures both stock and custom solutions, all made in the U.S. In response to COVID-19, the company introduced Sani-Cab, a patent-pending air purification system for elevator cabs. Blaiotta graduated from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business with an MBA in strategic planning and holds an undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
