U.K.-based Glenn Howells Architects unveiled plans for a 32-story tower containing 294 build-to-rent flats at 100 Broad Street in Birmingham, U.K., Architects’ Journal reports. In 2019, Birmingham City Council approved a proposal by Glancy Nicholls for a 62-story skyscraper at the same location, which would have become the city’s tallest building. Work never started, and the site was sold by developer Euro Property Investments to Urban Vision several months ago. In addition to homes, plans for the Glenn Howells tower include coworking and business space and retail opportunities on the ground floor.
