Mannheim, Germany-based Lochbühler Aufzüge GmbH is marking its 150th year in business. One of the most successful traditional companies in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, Lochbühler was founded in 1873 by Georg Lochbühler and is currently run by fourth-, fifth- and sixth-generation family members. The company has more than 70 employees and installs approximately 100 new elevators, including modernizations, and services thousands of units annually. The business originally sold a wide range of products including agricultural machinery and household appliances. In 1960, the decision was made to focus solely on elevators. Throughout 2023, Lochbühler has acknowledged its anniversary through a series of events and initiatives, including an investment in work-life balance with a 37.5-h week and the introduction of a new logo and corporate brand identity. On June 17, the company invited several hundred guests to a celebration at its campus in Mannheim Friedrichsfield.
