Disney To Replace Elevator Button Panels on Cruise Ship

According to disneydining.com, the elevator button panels abord the Disney Wish cruise ship were recently replaced due to an issue with the buttons being overly sensitive. The buttons were so sensitive that if someone brushed against the panel, it would end up pressing all the elevator buttons, causing the guests to have to stop at every single floor. This caused delays for guests, which impacted the guest experience, creating efficiency and safety issues. After numerous complaints, the button panels are in the process of being replaced, according to the source, which added that “the new buttons will be much less sensitive and a little more clear in indicating which floors are actually pressed and selected.”
