Teams come together for fun and fundraising.
The 2023 UK Lift Industry Golf Day, an event which supports the Lift Industry Charity, was held in September 2023 at the Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa resort in Luton, Bedfordshire. Teams came together for a Texas Scramble format on the 18-hole championship course measuring 6,544 yd. from the yellow tees.
Seven teams played, and everyone had a very enjoyable day. With the first-prize and longest-drive sponsorship coming from ELEVATOR WORLD UK, we managed to donate £250 to the UK Lift Industry Charity. Regular beverage deliveries from Kapok 88 employees Law Griffiths and Jack Creane ensured we all stayed suitably hydrated. Post-round hydration continued in the bar, along with a good spread of food for all to enjoy. A swift prize presentation followed, and thanks were given to all from myself.

About the UK Lift Industry Charity
The UK Lift Industry Charity resulted from an informal group who wanted to provide assistance to industry colleagues in times of trouble. The group started organising fundraising events, and it quickly became apparent that there were others who wanted to assist industry colleagues. The group decided that a “formal” Charity needed to be set up to comply with established charity Regulations, and the UK Lift Industry Charity was officially registered in early 2007. Since that time, the Charity has made donations in excess of £55,000 to individuals and the families of individuals who have been injured or sadly killed whilst working in the industry. liftindustrycharity.co.uk
