A New Domestic, Invisible Product for Maintaining Hygiene of Escalator Handrails: KuzaCleanBelt

Kuza Lift, a manufacturer of escalator systems and spare parts, is in the limelight with its new product, “Invisible Hero®,” which is a cleaning and sanitation system for escalator handrails.

The handrail sanitizer developed by Kuza, a company that closely follows all developments in the escalator market, has been its capstone in its expertise in elevator and escalator spare-part manufacturing. Kuza now takes its place at the market with its KuzaCleanBelt® trademark and with the InvisibleHero model, which has its own patent. KuzaCleanBelt designates its own standards in escalator handrail sanitation systems and allows the escalator, which has been one of the key elements of the infection chain, to be used without hesitation.

Performs in the Staircase

Invisible Hero is the world’s first sustainable handrail sanitation system that uses a liquid disinfectant embedded in the staircase and has been designed differently than other available technologies. Being embedded in the staircase, it eliminates various negative impacts of the systems built outside. Invisibility is the main idea of the design. Based on the storage volume and the passenger traffic, no intervention is needed for 15-30 days.

Functioning in Double Direction and Based on the Traffic

The system operates in both directions and optionally can change direction manually or with a single button. It has a system that can control the density of sanitation for both right and left handrail belts independent of each other.

Sanitizes Three Sides of the Handrail

The edges of handrails contain more virus, fungi and bacteria than their wider sections. InvisibleHero stands out as the only system with “AllSide” technology that sanitizes three sides of the handrail. It also applies the liquid disinfectant homogenously to the entire contact surface. In order to keep the handrail dry for the passengers, the cylinders apply the disinfectant and then perform drying process.

Custom-Engineered Sensor System

Custom-engineered sensors activate the system when passengers are riding. In this way, the system applies the least amount of disinfectant for each passenger without skipping any surface of the handrail. All liquid disinfectants compliant with the legislations of the relevant country can be used, and the system supports all possible developments that may take place in liquid disinfectant technologies.
