AKE Elevator, Escalator and Disability Systems, which operates at Antalya Organized Industrial Zone, completed its second Vocational Training Project.
The second phase of the Vocational Training Project, with 20 trainees selected among 700 applicants and aims to train engineers and bring them into the sector, took three months. The young engineers, 30 percent of whom are women, received their certificates at the end of the training program.
The company, which opened its doors to newly graduated young engineers, started its second Vocational Training Project (AKE-MEP) in February, which it carried out during August and November 2020. In the vocational trainings that lasted until May, the trainees took charge in elevator, escalator, disability systems and cassette panel departments. Additionally, they received training in purchasing, production planning and logistics departments.
The engineers who gain experience at the end of the training through the project, which is carried out with the support of İŞKUR and is highly demanded, will start working within the company.
AKE Elevator Chairman Çetin Keskin stated that through this training project AKE offers an opportunity to newly graduated engineers to gain experience, and said, “We were in a world of possibilities; we did good things in limited conditions. You are now in a world of opportunities; so you have to make the most of what is presented to you. Things you learned at AKE Elevator will enable you to start your career ahead.” Keskin also wished the young engineers success in their professional life.
The young engineers, who received their graduation certificates from the Vocational Training Project, expressed that their department managers worked hard to train the trainees throughout the program, and they learned lots of things in only three months that will be useful for their professional life. They also said they were pleased to complete such a program.
