Canny Elevator receives accreditation symbolizing its strength in R&D.
In November 2011, Canny Elevator was accredited the title of Nation-class Enterprise Technology Center by the five Chinese government authorities, including the National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Science China. The recognition symbolized the company’s strength in R&D, and follows a stringent and demanding assessment of 22 aspects, covering innovation, technology and employees’ skill, output efficiency, innovation efficiency, etc. To date, Canny has successfully carried out a number of research projects in its three academic research centers in association with three universities, respectively.
Due to its continued efforts in enhancing product quality and brand reputation, Canny has been awarded a number of projects. Included among the projects are elevator and escalator installations at various subway stations in China. For one subway line, Canny installed 45 energy-efficient elevators; 199 high-rise, heavy-duty escalators to a second line; and 315 high-rise, heavy-duty escalators to a third, setting a record in terms of units installed in a single order. In order to provide safe and reliable operations for such a high volume of escalators and elevators in the stations, Canny adjusted its station-based service to deliver preventive maintenance and timely troubleshooting.
Canny also provided six high-speed, energy-efficient elevators capable of a speed up to 3.5 mps for the Suzhou Rail Transportation Control Center and 10 heavy-duty escalators with 1,400- mm-wide steps to the Changbei International Airport north of Nanchang, China. For the East Wuxi Railway Station, Canny supplied 21 heavy-duty escalators and 23 energy-saving elevators. In addition, Canny has installed approximately 260 heavy-duty escalators in metro stations in South Korea since 2006, and 76 units in metro stations in Turkey.
In May, Canny displayed a spacious booth at the 10th World Elevator & Escalator Expo (WEEE) held in Guangzhou (ELEVATOR WORLD, August 2012). Canny’s 384-m2 booth provided visitors with a view of its industrial park. In addition, a 9-m-long wall illustrated the company’s development and milestones. The stand also featured one of Canny’s most prominent elevator designs, which operated throughout the event.
At the WEEE summit titled “Green, Safety and Intelligence,” Zhu Ruihua, an officer for Canny, gave a presentation on how elevator manufacturers contribute to the construction of residential buildings for those with low income, demonstrating confidence and readiness for the brand to continue moving toward perceived market changes.
