On August 1, the annual Chicago Elevator Association (CEA) Golf Outing provided great fun and was a fundraising success for the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF). The sun shone down upon scores of attendees at Gleneagles Country Club in Lemont, Illinois, and a world-class raffle featuring the finest prizes, as well as an evening dinner, kept guests smiling throughout the day and into the night.

Brad Hunt of The Peelle Co., Ken Grohowski of C.E. Electronics, Inc. and the ladies of RelaDyne LLC helped collect US$1,840 for a drawing, with half going to the winner and half going to the EESF. In all, the event raised US$2,000 for the foundation, which will help educate more than 6,890 schoolchildren about elevator and escalator safety with the Safe-T-Rider© program.

Event organizers including Tom Pryzbyla of Parts Specialists, Inc., and Matt Dennett of RBN & Associates Inc., deserve special thanks. The CEA notes the event would not have been successful without the generous support of its numerous sponsors.
