Traction Controller Solution for Smaller Control Spaces
Elevator Controls has launched the Pixel AC MRL, a complete traction controller solution designed for the changing machine-room-less (MRL) elevator modernization environment. The unique, tall-and-slim form factor is designed and engineered to fit today’s constrained spaces. The Pixel AC MRL takes the components of Elevator Controls’ popular Pixel controller and re-engineers them to fit into today’s constrained MRL control spaces. The Pixel AC MRL Traction Controller is easier to install, integrate and maintain than alternative offerings. Built for low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise buildings that feature elevators with geared or gearless traction machines, the Pixel AC MRL is a highly-efficient modernization solution for popular OEM MRLs, but is also ideal for non-MRL projects with control space constraints. It features advanced technology and software, along with components, wiring and mounting kits engineered to seamlessly work together where space is at a premium. Along with its slimmer form factor, three points of access (control room, top-of-cab or in the cab) allow car diagnostics and adjustments to be accessed quickly where the work is being done, providing a safe work environment, convenience and efficiency.
Clutch and Car Door Interlock Package
GAL Manufacturing Company, LLC has launched a new LWL Clutch and Car Door Interlock package that delivers another level of protection to elevators. The package combines the functionality of a gate switch and a zone lock in one device, lessening the chance of human error and circumvention when it comes to keeping car doors closed during operation. Designed to work with the GAL MOVFR II Harmonic Door Operator and standard MOH and MOCPH Hoistway interlock packages, the LWL Clutch and Car Door Interlock package can be retrofitted to existing installations quickly, easily and cost-effectively. The LWL Clutch and Car Door Interlock package is UL certified to ASME A17.1-2019 for the U.S. and Canada and eliminates the need for fascia on the hall side. It increases safety for elevator passengers over a traditional zone lock and greatly reduces the chance of circumvention of safety devices.
