Izmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO) 55th Machinery Occupational Group and EAYSAD (Aegean Elevator and Escalator Industrialists’ Association) held seminars for EAYSAD members at Izmir Chamber of Commerce on January 12, 2022, and February 24, 2022.
Sabih Haliloğlu, committee president of the 55th Machinery Occupational Group, and EAYSAD Chairman Mert Öğüşlü made opening speeches before the first seminar on “Institutionalization and Process Development in Elevator Companies.” They were followed by Electrical Engineer Serdar Tavaslıoğlu, who made a presentation. The seminar attracted great attention.
The seminar on “Occupational Safety and Elevators” held at the new Chamber of Commerce office was a hybrid event. IZTO Machinery Occupational Group Committee Member Amaç Sarıgülü and EAYSAD Chairman Mert Öğüşlü made opening speeches at the event, where some of the audience attended the event physically while others attended via Zoom.
With his presentation on Occupational Safety and Elevators, Tansel Namlıses stated that unfair competition, which is one of the problems of the sector, is also important in terms of occupational safety, and it should be carefully considered by the companies.
Attorney Banu Kalafat Bingöl gave detailed information about the legal responsibilities on occupational safety. Kalafat answered the questions of the audience, and also mentioned the problems experienced on site.
The seminar ended after the plaques were given and family photos were taken.
