Elevator U has issued a call for papers to be presented at its upcoming annual conference, which will be on June 18-21 at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Those wishing to propose a topic for presentation should go to elevatoru.org/eu-call-for-paperspresentations. Proposals should not be sales pitches, but should include at least three specific learning objectives tailored for an audience of professionals in charge of vertical-transportation (VT) equipment at colleges, universities and other large institutions. Completed forms should be emailed to elevatoru@gmail.com. Elevator U is an association of professionals that facilitates the exchange of information regarding issues relative to VT in academic facilities.
Kings III Names Rippentrop Elevator Partner Program Manager
Kings III Emergency Communications, based in Coppell, Texas, has named Kevin Rippentrop Elevator Partner Program manager. Rippentrop has 10 years of experience in the elevator industry on the supplier side, working with OEMs and independents, and has spent his career leading sales and marketing teams. As Elevator Partner Program manager, he will educate elevator contractors on Kings III’s emergency-monitoring services. Rippentrop is based out of the Minneapolis area.
