Eurasia Elevator Exhibition, organized by CNR Holding and contributed by Turkey Elevator Industrialists Federation (TASFED) and All Elevator Industrialists and Business People Association (TASİAD), has been held in İstanbul Expo Center (IFM) on December 1-4, 2021.

The fifth International Elevator and Escalator Industry and Technologies Exhibition, which brings the elevator manufacturers in Turkey and the leading manufacturers of the world together, was held at Hall 4 of IFM, with 48 companies from Turkey participated in the exhibition that took place for four days between December 1-4, 2021. Due to the pandemic, elevator industry events have not been held in person in our country for two years. As Eurasia Elevator Exhibition was postponed twice, people were concerned about how it would be held. Although the exhibition was held in only one hall with a limited number of exhibitors due to COVID-19 and travel restrictions, it was flooded by visitors. This first in-person meeting proved that the industry felt the absence of such events while exhibitors were highly satisfied. In addition to local visitors, professional from Middle East, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, North Africa and Commonwealth of Independent States visited the exhibition.

Thousands of visitors in 4 days

At the CNR Eurasia Elevator Exhibition, which hosted thousands of professionals, new products and services were showcased. The exhibition, where the Ministry of Commerce provided incentives to the exhibitors, will be a unifying power for the Turkish elevator industry and also make great contributions to international trade of the industry.

Eurasia Elevator Exhibition, which is an international event, also stands out as a platform where the elevator industry displays its competitiveness and brand power. The exhibition also contributes the export targets of the exhibitors through the cooperation opportunities it offers. It strengthens the cooperation between companies that provide products and services in elevator and escalator industry while supporting Turkey to be the production and supply base for elevator sector.

Due to the recent increases in freight costs, foreign companies now prefer Turkey rather than China, as Turkish Lira has depreciated. While it is a great opportunity for domestic manufacturers, it also opens new doors for the industry, due to the shrinking domestic demand. Consequently, Turkish Elevator Industry has made significant contribution to national economy by giving current surplus for the last 4-5 years. Manufacturers operating in the elevator industry, which was designated as a strategic sector in Turkey last year, aim to reach their targeted export rates with the help of International Eurasia Elevator Exhibition.

Genemek Showcased its New Application

Genemek, which has designed and manufactured user experience interface components for the elevator industry for more than 20 years, took part in the exhibition fair with a new product, as always. As touching elevator buttons may be dangerous due to COVID-19 pandemic, many companies designed new products and systems, including foot-operated elevator buttons, control systems with QR codes and internet access and hologram operating panels. The difference and the most important feature of Genemek’s new application, CallMyLift, is that it does not require internet access. With the Bluetooth module placed in elevator control system, the application recognizes the elevator when the user approaches the call buttons and provides access via the application on the mobile phone. The application can be used by company and building managements while the administrator can bring instant access restrictions to certain floors.
