Gustav Wolf Acquires Brugg’s Georgia Production Site

Brugg Lifting North America LLC and Gustav Wolf (USA) Inc. announced a joint agreement for the elevator steel rope production site of Brugg Wire Rope North America in Rome, Georgia.

Effective April 2, Gustav Wolf (USA) acquired the manufacturing assets of Brugg Lifting North America at the existing 1801 Parrish Road, Rome, Georgia, location. This extends Gustav Wolf’s global production capacity into North America. Gustav Wolf will relocate its North Carolina operation to Rome, which will become its North American headquarters. Gustav Wolf will be putting a new management team in place and investing in additional machinery in Rome to expand output.

Brugg Lifting North America plans to strengthen its sales, service and engineering activities in North America with focus on innovation products for the elevator market. Brugg will continue to serve its clients with the full range of elevator ropes, plus belt products and coated elevator ropes. Standard 8 x 19 products will be supplied from Brugg’s global rope factories with the option to supplement items from the current North American factory.

At the end of March, Brugg Wire Rope North America moved its operation, including customer service, sales, engineering and warehouse, to the new location at 3411 Turkey Mountain Road, N.E., Rome, Georgia 30161.
