ELEVATOR WORLD Graphic Design Associate Jessica Trippe captured images of these two Schindler escalators with clear side panels while in Baltimore. The one-time power plant in which they are located is a Barnes & Noble store in the city’s Inner Harbor. While EW often reports on clear-paneled elevators, escalators of this sort are rarities.

Since 1953, Elevator World, Inc. has been the premier publisher for the global vertical transportation industry. It employs specialists in Mobile, Alabama, and has technical and news correspondents around the world.
