SEES Light Screen and Resistor

SEES-Light-Screen-and-Resistor

An overview of SEES’ new universal light screen/door protector

Southern Elevator & Electric Supply (SEES) now offers a universal light screen/door protector, which works for almost all applications. The design has mounting holes through the body and includes hardware so it can be mounted on car doors without additional brackets or clips. For single-sided openings, there is a tab at the top and bottom of the unit for mounting to the door jamb.

The system is available with a 110-VAC or 24-VDC input control box. A 3D sensor is available with the standard 110-VAC control box and can be delivered at a later time if needed. The system also uses 32 diode sets and has a light immunity greater than or equal to 100,000 lux.

Restrictor

As a result of new code requirements and enforcements, many elevators are now required to add door restrictors. SEES now offers its Restrictor, which is designed to use a cam mounted on the door, with additional brackets on the hoistway doors and fascia between floors to restrict the opening of the car doors when it is out of the landing zone. The design does not require any moving parts, and, after it is installed, can remain in place for the life of the elevator without issues. The Restrictor’s design also helps prevent entrapments and operation failures common with electric and clutch-style door restrictors.
