A17.1 Standards Committee Code Week in Kansas City

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers A17.1 Standards Committee is holding Code Week on October 8-10 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Kansas City, Missouri. Open to the public, meetings include, on October 7, committees and groups focused on limited use/limited application (LU/LA), residential and wind turbine elevators; electrical systems; mechanical design; A17.1 QEI; and the A17.1 Guide for Emergency Personnel; on October 8, LU/LA, residential and inclined elevators, as well as meetings of mechanical design, inspection and electrical committees; on October 9, the A17.1 Elevator and Escalators Standards and US TAG to TV 178 committees; and on October 10, committees on A17 escalators and moving walks, A18 standards, and B44 technical considerations; as well as meetings covering new technology and hydraulic elevators.
