Anticipation is building for interlift 2023, planned on October 17-20, 2023 in Augsburg, Germany, and organizers are optimistic that lack of travel restrictions, promotional efforts and a new hall structure will result in a successful show. “The general conditions next year will hardly differ from the time before [COVID-19],” AFAG Messen und Austellungen GmbH observed in an October 11 press release. Representatives of AFAG, VFA-Interlift e.V. and the European Federation for Elevator Small and Medium-sized Enterprises met with the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) for the first time jointly during the NAEC convention in Louisville, Kentucky, in September, and conceived the idea of a joint presentation by U.S. companies at interlift 2023. Further, a new hall structure for venue Messe Augsburg, driven by current fire evacuation regulations, promises to expand space available for exhibitors.
