ASME and ComEd Bring STEM Career Inspiration to Students

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and ComEd began the second year of DropMEin!, a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiative designed to empower the next generation of engineers. DropMEin! brings engineers and other STEM professionals into elementary and middle school classrooms to spark interest and provide hands-on learning opportunities to students. The DropMEin! program will engage with more than 4,000 students across the nation this year to help diversify the future of STEM. Children from low-income families make up at least 40% of enrollment, with 84% of participating schools qualifying for Title 1 federal funding.
