A boy died in an elevator accident in Maharashtra, India, after he entered an elevator that was undergoing repairs, Times Now reported on December 22. The boy entered the lift in the seven-story building where he lived with his family when it suddenly moved upwards. The boy was removed from the elevator and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The lift repairman has been arrested. Police say he did not announce the elevator was under repair and that it should not have been used during the maintenance period.
