Car Elevators Part of Bentley Residences Plan in Florida

Each of the 200 residences in the planned 60-story Bentley Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, will have a patented car elevator allowing residents to drive directly into their homes, Florida YIMBY reports. The elevators are among luxury features including private balconies, a pool, floor-to-ceiling windows, a fitness center, a restaurant, a whiskey bar and a movie theater at the tower which, at 749 ft, will be the tallest on a beachfront in the U.S. The developer is Dezer Development, which was behind the Porsche Design Tower and Residences by Armani/Casa, also in Sunny Isles Beach — part of the Miami metro area — and featuring car elevators. Renderings by ArX Solutions of the design by Sieger Suarez Architects reveal a cylindrical superstructure within diamond-patterned, light-blue glass. Construction is set to start in 2023, with completion anticipated in 2026.
