Carl Strychaluk Memorial and Funeral Details Released

Strychaluk

The Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) and the family of Carl Strychaluk, co-founder of Mississauga, Ontario-based MAD Elevator, have released details of his memorial and funeral service. Strychaluk passed away unexpectedly on June 7 as the result of an auto accident. The past CECA board member “lived life to the fullest, embracing a love of hockey and many passions including Legos and his Vespa,” his obituary says. “He will be forever missed by all his family, work family and lifelong friends. Carl’s boisterous personality and infectious laugh will live on in those who loved him.” The visitation will be at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, at Bloor and Windermere in Toronto on Monday, June 19, from 2-5 p.m. or 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be on Tuesday, June 20, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church at 3055 Bloor Street West in Etobicoke. A luncheon reception will follow at the Crooked Cue across from the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider making a donation to Hockey4Youth.
