Cibes Lift Group To Acquire Morning Star Elevator

Cibes Lift Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Colorado-based Morning Star Elevator, a leading distributor in the residential elevator and vertical platform lift segment. This strategic acquisition aims to strengthen Cibes’ position in the U.S. and open new business opportunities in the Colorado market. Morning Star Elevator becomes the fifth addition to Cibes Lift Group in the U.S. Headquartered in Colorado Springs with additional offices in Denver and Glenwood Springs, Morning Star Elevator, founded in 2002, specializes in a broad range of residential elevators, platform lifts, LULA (Limited-Use-Limited-Application) elevators and comprehensive service and maintenance, primarily serving residential customers across Colorado and employing 39. Cibes Lift Group will acquire full ownership of Morning Star Elevator, which will retain its name and brand. Current owner and CEO Richard Markow will step down and remain as a consultant during the transition period. Newly appointed Managing Director Jeffrey Straight will lead the company and report to Michael Graff, vice president of Sales, Americas, at Cibes Lift Group. The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the second quarter of 2024.
