Signaling its West Coast growth, NYC-based consultancy Clarkson + Varick has secured a major elevator modernization job at Shoreline Square, a 20-story office building completed in downtown Long Beach, California, in 1988. All the tower’s elevator banks, including high- and mid-rise elevators, will undergo a custom modernization that Clarkson + Varick says “will not only achieve ownership’s goals, but also yield over US$1 million in value-engineered savings, aligning with their strategic plan.” The project team includes Santa Fe Springs, California-based Total Access Elevator, Assa Properties N.A., Jack Sitt Real Estate and Newmark Property Management. “This is a necessary elevator modernization that had to fit the company’s strategic capital needs while achieving peak performance,” Clarkson + Varick observed.
