The public comment period for the 33-story residential development proposed for 1698 West Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver closed July 30, Vancouver is Awesome reports. The property was rezoned for the project in April and the development application phase required a public comment period. The Development Permit Board will announce a decision in October. The 100-m-tall proposal would bring more than 125 residential units to the Coal Harbour area. The proposed building would have a few features alluding to the local landscape. A two-story waterfall is part of current designs, as are walls covered in plants, and terraces designed into the façade would provide space for plants and trees to grow at varying heights of the building.
