CTBUH’s “Sustainable High-Rise Buildings” Book Now Available

The book “Sustainable High-Rise Buildings: Design, Technology, and Innovation,” a collaboration between the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) and longtime collaborators Kheir Al-Kodmany, Peng Du and Mir M. Ali, is available for purchase. Published by the Institute of Engineering and Technology, the book includes an introduction by CTBUH President Antony Wood and points out how vertical urbanism is largely driven by global increases in urban population, land prices, land preservation, globalization and climate change. It is structured in three parts: architecture, engineering and city planning. Concepts explored include sustainable environmental systems, skybridges, curtain walls, core design and space efficiency. The book “delivers state-of-the-art advanced research, innovations and future perspectives toward sustainable high-rise buildings,” CTBUH observes.
