The Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) recently released the CVU Interactive Data Study for the Americas. Drawing on more than 50 years of comparative research, the study is part of CVU’s Global Activity Series and illustrates a “renewed phase of vertical growth across the region, from accelerating development in countries such as Brazil and Canada to the evolving influence of suburban densification.” The study shows where tall building activity is gaining momentum and the forces driving it; how demographic change is reshaping the urban form across the hemisphere; and what long-term data reveals about shifting development cycles and their implications for design, investment and policy. “More than a mere snapshot of activity, this dynamic report is a longitudinal reading of changed designed to support decision-making across practice, investment and research,” CVU observed.
