Following its decision to relocate the 2026 VU Summit from Riyadh and Dubai to London on October 26-29, the Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) is reopening the call for abstracts, offering a renewed opportunity to engage in one of the year’s most important global dialogues on the future of cities. All abstracts submitted to the original call will be retained for consideration in the London program, and there is no need to resubmit. This new round simply extends an invitation to additional voices and perspectives within a new context. To reinforce the theme of “Density & Identity: Shaping Skylines, Elevating Culture,” CVU says its “calling on our international community of experts to examine the dynamic interplay between ambitious vertical development and a deepening commitment to heritage, place and cultural continuity. London, an exemplar of layered urban history and progressive city-making, provides an especially compelling setting for this exchange of ideas.” Submissions are due by May 5, and accepted abstracts will be notified in June.
