A vandal or vandals damaged elevators at 10 Toronto Transit Commission (TCC) stations on December 21, making three of the stations completely inaccessible as TCC awaits repair parts, City News is among outlets to report. A TCC spokesman said TCC is reviewing surveillance video that could be handed over to the police. Custom glass panels on the sides of each elevator were damaged, complicating the repair process since the components aren’t “off-the-shelf solutions.” The spokesman said, based on the nature of the damage, the vandalism appears to be a coordinated effort.
