Elevator With Gap Claims Life In Turkey

A 69-year-old man who was stuck in the elevator shaft on the second floor of a four-story building recently in Kemalpaşa, Izmir, Turkey, lost his life, the ELEVATOR WORLD Turkey newsletter reported. After returning to his home, the man entered the elevator, which was installed in the building after the construction phase and had a gap between the ground floor and the wall. He attempted to get out of the cabin but fell and got stuck between the elevator shaft and the wall. Residents called 110 Emergency Service and the police. Emergency teams rescued the man, but he did not survive.
