European luxury real estate developer R.evolution plans to build the 48-unit Eywa overlooking the Dubai Water Canal and offering views of downtown and the Burj Khalifa, Construction Week Middle East reports. Renderings show an approximately 20-story structure incorporating lots of woven wood and foliage with warm earth tones for the interiors. The developer’s first U.A.E. project, Eywa is inspired by the Banyan Tree — known in Hindu mythology as the tree of life and fertility — and Hunan, China’s famous quartz sandstone mountain, the Southern Sky Column. It will aim for LEED Platinum, WELL Platinum and HealthTechPro certifications. Private waterfalls are among an impressive list of amenities. Eywa is aiming for completion in 2026.
