FAA Approves Design Of Tampa Residential Tower

Developers of a high-rise residential building in Tampa have won approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Florida YIMBY reported in late December. Altura Bayshore, a 22-story condominium tower at 2910 West Barcelona Street in Bayshore Gardens, Tampa, is planned to rise 271 ft. Designed by Curts Gaines Hall Jones Architects and developed by Tampa-based The Ronto Group, the tower has been ruled from the FAA as non-obstructive to the airspace and not a hazard to any aircraft operations in the area. According to the approval, the tallest point of the building will be at the center, which is likely where the bulkhead and concrete core will top out. Construction has begun for the project, which will bring 73 units — 67 residences and 6 penthouses. They will range from 2,176 ft2 to 3,575 ft2 and will be divided into four units per floor. Units will start at US$1.3 million and rise to US$3.4 million. Construction is expected to finish by late 2023 or early 2024.
