Fatality Reported in India Hotel Elevator Incident

A 24-year-old housekeeping employee was crushed to death after his legs were trapped outside a service lift at a hotel in Chennai, India, TIMES NOW reports. Following the accident, three people, including the hotel’s operating manager, were booked on charges of culpable negligence, according to police. The victim entered the lift on the ninth floor with a trolley, which got stuck in the doors, leaving him trapped in between as the lift started moving. A police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
