Tampa, Florida-based TRI-TRONICSĀ®, a manufacturer of robust, high-tech light screen elevator door control systems, announced its operations will close today through at least October 9 due to the anticipated impacts of Hurricane Milton. Outlets including CNN report forecasters predict the powerful storm to make landfall as a major hurricane around the Tampa Bay area on October 9 in a state ā€œstill reeling from Hurricane Helene.ā€ The company said the decision was made to ā€œensure the safety of our employees and their families,ā€ adding the closure could affect shipping and service timelines. ā€œWe appreciate your understanding and patience during this time,ā€ TRI-TRONICS said.
