Fujitec Announces Construction of “Quality Lab” at Japan HQ

Fujitec Co., Ltd. President and CEO Masayoshi Harada has announced construction of a new 1,000-m2 quality analysis and evaluation center tentatively named the Quality Lab on the grounds of its headquarters (HQ) in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. A groundbreaking was held on September 7, and anticipated completion is in February 2025. The building will be equipped with experimental equipment to evaluate elevator component performance, reliability and safety, as well as to conduct operating tests. The company has traditionally conducted tests and verifications during product development. With the new building, these processes will focus on quality to enhance quality control and improve performance and reliability. The new building will also explore and identify installation methods to enhance efficiency and optimize quality of existing elevators and escalators.
