Fujitec Taiwan Co., Ltd. has completed an expansion of its Hsinchu Plant, which began production in 1981 in the Hsinchu Industrial Park in Taiwan and manufactures elevators primarily for the Taiwanese market, as well as modernization packages for exports, the company announced on July 1. Aimed at improving productivity and price competitiveness, the expansion includes new automated sheet metal fabrication lines and welding robots. Fujitec expects the plant to produce 1,000 units per year by fiscal year 2024, part of the company’s medium-term Vision24 plan. One of eight locations in Taiwan, the 12,000-m2 Hsinchu Plant supports Taiwan’s green energy policy by leasing its roof space to a solar power generation company that generates 170,000 kWh of electricity annually from solar panels.
